Vicar appointment formally announced:

Sunday 16th September 2018

We are pleased to convey the good news that the Bishop of Rochester has announced the appointment of Reverend James Harratt as the next vicar of St Peter & St Paul, Bromley.
The Bishop of Tonbridge will officiate at James’ collation (combined presentation, admission and institution) service on Wednesday 14th November 2018 at 19:30.
James is currently curate at St Margaret’s Church in Rainham, Kent.
James grew up at the other end of the A21 in Hastings. After studying Psychology at the University of Wales in Bangor, he spent his early career working in public and academic libraries in Cambridge. He studied for the ministry at Ripon College, Cuddesdon near Oxford, before taking up his current post in September 2015.  He is married to Helen and they have a cat, a very excitable dog and are looking forward to welcoming their first child very soon.
James says “We are both really looking forward to coming to Bromley and are excited at the potential the church has to make a difference to this community and the lives of those who live here“
Please keep James and Helen in your prayers as they prepare to move.
